Are you passionate about dance and eager to share your passion with others? Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic summer student to join our team as a Summer Assistant from August 12th to August 30th, 2024.

About Us: Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan is a vibrant and inclusive dance school dedicated to providing high-quality dance education to students of all ages and skill levels. With a focus on fostering creativity, discipline, and teamwork, we offer a wide range of dance classes in various styles.

Position Overview: As a Summer Assistant you will assist  in managing and organizing dance classes for students ranging from 4 to 18. This is an excellent opportunity to learn organizational and leadership skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in organization and child care during the two-week summer camp schedule.
• Monitor the children in the hallways and assist students as needed. 
• Answering general questions regarding the new season, instruction, rates, and other general areas.
• Assist in costume organization and preparation for the new season.
• Provide any other assistance required by our teaching and office staff to help get make Summer Dance and the new season a success.
• Take photos and assist in social media campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Able to pass a background check for the vulnerable sector.
• Passion for dance and children's education.
• Previous experience at Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan a plus.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be available from August 12th to August 30th.

• Duration: August 12th to August 30th, 2024
• Hours: 32 hours per week
• Compensation: $14 per hour
