Our modern program utilizes a variety of movement techniques including Limon Technique, Laban Movement Analysis, and Bartennieff Fundamentals.
Our modern program utilizes a variety of movement techniques including, but not limited to; Limon Technique, Laban Movement Analysis, and Bartennieff Fundamentals. The movement principles that dancers will become aware of are: time, space, weight, and flow, and how those relate to all dance technique. Classes consist of floor work, centre work, travelling, improvisation, and composition. Modern dance and ballet complement each other greatly, and will give dancers the edge they need to excel in dance in Canada.
Requirements: Previous experience. New Students, please contact the office for placement.

Dress Code
Option 1
Leotard (any style or color), footless tights (black, tan or pink), barefoot. Shorts can be worn over top of tights and leotard. Hair must be off the face.
Option 2
T-shirt, knee-length shorts, tights or workout pants, barefoot

Maintaining regular attendance is key to the success of a student's experience at Youth Ballet Saskatchewan.
Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan is a safe and happy environment for learning dance. Teamwork is very important and dancers are expected to treat each other and their instructors with kindness and respect in and out of the studio.
Parents and Guardians have a vital role to play in the enjoyment and learning that their children experience during classes and the year–end recital at the Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan (Youth Ballet).
